Elder Stories

Dementia develops insidiously and erases what is most precious to all of us - our memories, talents, identities, and our ability to communicate.

The Elders who live and attend Day Programs at Eden Gardens are special people, with interesting stories. Remembering their stories is an important part of respecting and celebrating their lives.

Sharing Elders' stories is part of our goal to provide enrichment, activity and support to make life worth living for people with dementia.

These stories come from the Elders themselves, and their families, friends and the caring Eden Gardens staff.

We welcome your feedback and hope you will share your story with us.

Please contact Director of Care Denise Thornton at denise.thornton@edengardens.ca for resident stories and contact Mary Beth Wells for Day Program stories at marybeth.wells@edengardens.ca.
